It’s official, Christmas is on the way! We're hosting family, fun events to switch on the festive lights in seven town centres.
Santa Claus will make a special guest appearance at each of the free events, along with a live entertainment stage and music hosted by Heart Radio, a funfair ride, dance schools and choirs singing Christmas carols.
Provost Jean Jones and Depute Provost Tom Castles will officially switch on the festive lights, marking the start of the festive season across North Lanarkshire.
Motherwell’s Christmas Lights Switch On is in partnership with Motherwell Shopping Centre and sponsored by O2, featuring an appearance by Anton Danyluk from Love Island and music from tribute act Little Fix. Aldi will be giving out chocolate treats and water. The Miracle Foundation will be collecting money for bereavement and trauma support for young people.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
