Join us during the school holidays for lots of family activities, including arts and crafts and a daily Easter egg trail. Plus special activities over the Easter Weekend including Breakfast with the Easter bunny!

Brick Engineering Workshop with Bricks 4 Kids
Tuesday 9 April | 11am and 1pm

Do you want to learn, build and play with lego bricks? Our specially designed theme-based models provide the building blocks for the Bricks 4 Kidz approach to educational play. Enjoy activities that engage your curiosity and creativity.
Come and join us to build a motorised lego model following our instructions and using our special Lego kits. Then have a go at modifying it and making it better.
Wonders of Science with thinkScience
Tuesday 2 April | 11am, 1pm and 2pm
£5 – booking required (one accompanying adult free with child)
Witness death-defying feats of physics; gasp at lethal chemical reactions; marvel at the cutest bubbles and balloons; Wonders of Science has something to enthral the whole family.
Wednesday 3 and 10 April | 1pm – 3pm
£2 – drop in activity
Learn the basics of fabric weaving and make a woven animal.
Friday 5 April | 11am-3pm
All ages welcome (must be supervised at all times)

The Scottish Power Foundation, in association with National Museums Scotland, present Powering Up! Fun, hands on activities to learn about wind turbines, hydro-electricity and much more.
Toys Through Time
Friday 12 April | 1pm – 3pm
5 years+ (all ages welcome)
Free / £2 optional craft – drop in activity
From marbles and spinners, to board games and retro computer games, we have a wide selection of toys and games to try. You can also make your very own peg dolly or bobbin tank to take home.
Easter Weekend Activities
Join us for face painting, arts and crafts and spring animals each day!
Plus all your favourite Summerlee activities including tram rides, mine tours, sweetie shop, play area, Vulcan, exhibitions, gift shop and café.
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Sunday 21 and Monday 22 April
This Easter, why not have a family breakfast with a egg-stravagent twist! Enjoy either a continental or cooked Scottish breakfast with a hot drink/juice, with a special visit from the Easter Bunny!
£29.50 for two adults and two children or £16.50 for one adult and one child. £6 for an additional child. £8.50 for an additional adult. Please let us know your dietary requirements when booking.

Spring Animals at Summerlee

Get up close to some Spring animals for a handling session.
