Basic Sewing Skills

During this new 6-week evening class at R:evolve Recycle Rutherglen you'll learn all the basics you need to get sewing!

Basic Sewing Skills

About Basic Sewing Skills

Our expert tutor will show you how to set up a sewing machine, then you’ll learn some basic stitches, how to hem an item, and how to fit a zip, as well as some hand sewing and appliqué.

At the end of the course you’ll leave with your own unique handmade sewing kit including a pincushion, needle case, and sewing bag.

The classes are designed for complete beginners so whether you’ve never picked up a needle and thread in your life, or whether you just need a reminder of how things work, this will be the perfect starting point. There are only 5 spaces available for this class so you’ll receive plenty of individual support to get you sewing in no time!

Only £95 for the full course including tuition, use of one of our sewing machines, and all materials (not to mention tea, coffee, and biscuits!).

The course will run from 6pm – 8pm every Wednesday for 6 weeks starting on the 20th February (last class will take place on Wednesday 27th March).

The Basic Sewing Skills course takes place in our R:evolve Boutique, 71 Main Street, Rutherglen, G73 2JQ

Book your place via EventBrite, sign up in store, email victoria@leap-project.co.uk, phone 0141 641 5169 or contact us on social media @revolverecycle to book.
