We hear a great deal about plastic pollution and the damage it does, but how can we do anything about it?

Come and hear from the council about how to make the best use of our recycle bins, and from a zerowaste wannabe about simple changes we can make to reduce our household waste.

Come and meet our amazing stall holders and support them if you can:
Society Zero - the zerowaste pop up shop
Oh Sew Quirky Sam - hankies, re-useable cloth wipes, Japanese knot bags, cutlery wraps, unpaper kitchen towels
TCS eco - re-useable sanitary towels
Re:Craft - recycling craft materials
Lanarkshire Real Nappy Project

And meet the politicians, talk to them about what they are doing, and how we can be involved in effecting change.

And! - get rid of unwanted/ broken electrical items which will be recycled by LAMH, a social enterprise, and kept out of landfill.

LAMH can take: all computer equipment including printers, monitors, keyboards, cables, screens, scanners, modems, irons, kettles, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, paper shredders, fans, sandwich makes, lamps, DVD players, TVs, electric foot and bath spa equipment, coffee machines. No dishwashers, washing machines, cookers, fridges or freezers.

All welcome. No entry charge.

This event is in the sanctuary, and refreshments are available in the large hall at a concurrently running coffee morning.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Eco Info and Recycling Morning are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
