Cuningar Loop is a £5.7 million Legacy 2014 project that will provide an exciting new woodland park in the east end of Glasgow.

Located in Rutherglen, across the Clyde from the Commonwealth Games Athletes' Village at Dalmarnock, it has transformed 15 hectares of derelict, unused land, the size of 15 large football pitches, into an attractive community greenspace.

Onsite features include:
Extensive path network
Adventure play facilities
A bike skills area
Scotland’s first outdoor bouldering park
A woodland workout
Large meadow and picnic areas
An outdoor classroom
A riverside boardwalk
A new bridge linking the wood to the former Athletes’ Village, with 700 new homes.
15,000 trees have been planted including native trees such as oak, silver birch and blossom, along with some more exotic trees.

Expected to attract over 100,000 visitors by 2021, Cuningar Loop is set to be an important legacy of the Commonwealth Games.
