Above stairs, the lavish family rooms are packed full of period furniture and furnishings, as well as the UK’s finest collection of Spanish art, including paintings by El Greco, Goya and Murillo.

Below stairs the vast servants’ quarters show the realities of running a country house.

Set in the scenic surroundings of Pollok Country Park, which is also home to the Burrell Collection, Pollok House is an enjoyable, educational and entertaining day out for all the family.

After enjoying a wonderful lunch or afternoon tea in our Edwardian Kitchen Restaurant you may wish to take a stroll in Pollok House's delightful surroundings set within Pollok Country Park, which is also home to the Burrell Collection just a 10-minute walk away.

Family Friendly:
There’s plenty of family fun to be had at Pollok House, upstairs and down, inside and out. Friendly guides are always on hand to entertain them with stories about the house’s contents and inhabitants.

Or pick up an I Spy sheet from reception and the figurines hidden in rooms throughout the house, from the governess to the scullery maid. To get an “I Found Polly Sticker” see if you can find where she is hiding too.

Outside, you’re spoilt for choice. Pollok House is set in the middle of Pollok Country Park, which is the perfect place for young explorers to yomp in the woods, splash about next to the river or swing in the adventure playground.

Make sure you take them to visit the Clydesdale horses that live at the nearby old stable courtyard, stopping to say hello to the Highland cattle on the way.

And if the sun’s shining, why not stock up on snacks from the food shop at the house and have a picnic in the park?

Family Facilities:
