Today, The Flying Scotsman is at the heart of a residential area, but time was when it was planes not people that took up most space here. A little outside Paisley, Moorpark Aerodrome opened in 1910 and was Glasgow's main airport until 1966 when traffic switched to the present bigger site two miles west. Taking its name from the Vickers Viscount airliner, this friendly community bar keeps the local history alive with its propeller blades and framed pictures of aircraft on the walls. In truth, it'll be the good company, good conversation and good value that'll keep you feeling airborne.
The Fox and Hounds is a unique Scottish Bar & Restaurant that prides itself on taking the idea of a traditional village pub and reimagining it for today’s modern world.
