Always wanted to try yoga, but afraid you might not fit in? Then these are the classes for you. All classes are suitable for beginners, but experienced yogis are also welcome.
Tuesdays 6.30pm-7.30pm and Saturdays 9.30am-10.30am (Bellshill & Mossend YMCA)
This class begins with a nice breathing practice to help us focus on the yoga to come. We use the breath to help us flow through a series of standing, balancing and seated postures, before taking final relaxation. Plenty of options are available to suit all levels of ability.
Thursdays 6-30pm-7.30pm (Prana Yoga Studio, Hamilton) and Saturdays 10.45am-11.45am (Bellshill & Mossend YMCA)
Yin yoga is the ideal compliment to any type of activity, whether that's a flow yoga class, football, weight training or any other physical activity. This class is slow, meditative and deeply relaxing. We use props to hold postures for a bit longer, working safely into the joints and connective tissue. If you have a stressful job and need to learn to relax - this is the class for you!
