About Festive Weekend

Bring the family for a fun festive day out at the museum and farm.

At the museum
Craft activities
Times: 11:00 – 13:00 & 14:00 – 15:30, drop-in
Craft a cute ‘pig in blanket’ pinecone decoration, paper-cone turkey or Christmas tree to take home.
Make a scented pomander or mulled spice sachet for yourself or to give to someone special.

Winter storytelling
Times: 11:00 – 11:30, 12:30 – 13:00, 14:00 – 14:30 & 15:00 – 15:30
Limited spaces, sign up on the day.
Coorie in for a festive adventure! Join the team from Macastory for a storytelling experience perfect for young children and their families. Snuggle up, let your imagination soar, and celebrate the magic of the season.

Up at the farm
Time: 11:00 – 15:00, drop-in
Take a wintertime walk to our working farm.

See the farmhouse decorated for the festive season, and visit the animals as they settle in for winter.

Don’t forget to say hello to the donkeys, who are visiting Festive Weekend.

Mix up your own eco-friendly reindeer dust ready for Christmas Eve, then get set for 2025 by adding a wish to our special ‘Moo Year’ tree.
