Join Lanarkshire Cecilian Orchestra for their final concert of the season... their annual Summer Concert, which is being held in Motherwell's GLO Centre on Friday 9th June!

We open with Gounod's mystical vision of souls awaiting judgement at the gates of heaven, a piece of astonishing beauty. Other 'visionary' music includes the rarely-performed Ippolitov-Ivanov's evocation of a Caucasian procession and St-Saens 'Bacchanale'. We go on to showcase some members of the orchestra playing in a solo capacity in the fantastic concertos by Vivaldi and Mozart. The final item in the concert is Schubert's remarkable "Unfinished" Symphony in which he explored his deepest thoughts about the human condition. We present a varied programme which will have something for everyone.
