Come along and enjoy a day out at Picnic in the Park. It’s still free access to the park and enjoy the actives going on in the try it sessions, music and play park.
Picnic in the Park event will follow recent years theme with two different sessions. We have aimed the equipment for little ones up to 13 years with an array of inflatables and three kids ride. Some of the equipment is suitable for older children.
The sessions run from Afternoon 12 noon to 2.30pm* Evening 3pm to 5.30pm*
*queuing will stopped earlier than this and all rides closing at these times to allow staff breaks and refuelling.
At 2023 event we had and will aim to repeat as many of these as we can in 2024

Quite separate
We will have a small kids ride, ball pool and 4 inflatables in the little ones zone suitable for suggested age of 5 and under.
Wristbands for this area only-
Under 2 year old, bands are not required in this areas items.
2 + year olds. £10 for both sessions so the little ones can come and go as they wish. £8 for Afternoon only. Latecomers 4pm to 5.30pm £6
If you have the whole event bands you can still use this area with those bands as long as the child is under 6 during the sessions purchased.
We anticipate and have planned sessions being up to 2.5 hours for each session (no queuing after 2.15 and 5.15 followed by closure) or a both sessions wristband deal.

Both these bands include access to the little ones zone for 6 and under during the session purchased.
Or pay per ride is available with prices varying from £2/£3 for inflatables £3 for rides £4 for trampolines and bungees to £6 per visit.
Catering on site fish & Chips, burger van, donuts and franks ice cream van. You are also welcome to bring a picnic as the name suggests.
There will be some other try it sessions and NA Youth Services on hand, we will also have Uncle Billy and Fabulous Fraser on hand entertaining the kids and doing some skill sessions.
Parking on the day is readily available at Kilwinning Academy and Kilwinning College. We will have signs to direct you on the day. Please do not park in residential areas.
Bike parking
Available in park at bike racks and when full please lock to external fence near main dates.
Buses Irvine /Kilbirnie/ Beith buses stop right outside
the park.
The number 11 route use the Howgate stop.
Train station 8 to 10 minute walk and plenty of parking there to.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
