Jensen Taylor Connelly from the Alona Hotel and M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park said, “We’ve supported YAMS for the past two years as the work they do in the community is incredible. We’re looking forward to a great evening of entertainment and dancing and I’d urge people to support this very worthwhile cause.”
Rhonda Jones from YAMS added, “We are excited about our upcoming music event and feel very blessed to host these incredible artists in such an amazing venue to raise vital funds for our charity. We are honoured to partner with M&Ds and the Alona Hotel for the past two years and appreciate their passion to support mental health in North Lanarkshire and beyond.”
Based in Newarthill, YAMS supports people across Scotland with mental health difficulties. The charity was set up by former Scottish footballer Rhonda Jones and her family, in memory of her sister Gemma Jones who experienced mental health challenges and sadly passed just before her 30th birthday.
Uniquely set in the scenic surroundings of Strathclyde Country Park in Lanarkshire, the four-star Alona Hotel is perfectly situated for short-breaks and business travel as well as hosting celebratory occasions from birthdays to baby showers, special anniversaries and corporate events.
The Glasshouse restaurant and bar is equally as hospitable with its unique architecture, a custom- built atrium overlooking the loch, where people can enjoy a coffee in the lounge or select from a variety of menu options. Further information is available from www.alonahotel.co.uk
M&D’s Scotland’s destination Theme Park features many attractions, including Amazonia, a tropical indoor rainforest and home to more than 60 different species, Devil’s Island Adventure Golf, Cosmic Bowl ten pin bowling and Krazy Congo Soft Play, as well a variety of thrill rides and rides suitable for all age groups, and a Game Zone arcade area.
