Do you have a creative practice you'd like to take to the next stage? Have you thought about becoming self employed but aren't sure where to start? Our Create Thrive Enterprise might be for you!

Create Thrive Enterprise is a training opportunity for currently unemployed creatives looking to begin their freelance career, run by Impact Arts and funded by North Lanarkshire Council

Dates: 7th January to 28th March 2025 inclusive

Days: Two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday), with two-week full-time work placement at the end

Participants will gain an SCQF Level 3 and be supported 1-1 by a mentor and the programme coordinator to help them on their way to becoming a freelancer in the creative industries.

During the two training days per week participants will benefit from tailored training equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to work as a creative freelancer. They will receive 1-1 mentoring from an established creative, and at the end of the programme complete two weeks of paid work experience in an organisation that matches their interests. Participants will also receive a grant at the end of the programme, helping them to purchase equipment or attend further relevant training.

Eligibility

To take part in this programme you must be...
An adult of working age
Currently unemployed
Living in a North Lanarkshire postcode
Be at an early stage of developing your creative practice
Not be enrolled in education
Excited about the opportunity to begin your creative career

This is not a drop-in event. Please sign up through our website link and our Programme Coordinator will contact you to assess your suitability.
