The Club Newarthill
About The Club Newarthill
To get a sense of the importance of The Club to the Newarthill community, you need to take a look at the two function rooms. Typically booked up months in advance at weekends, they have their own bars, dance floors and stages. One can accommodate 80 people, the other up to 200. For a small fee, they are hired out for 21st birthday parties, weddings, christenings, retirement dos and funerals, with a buffet provided on top.
They are very popular, but things are no quieter in the main bar where, on Friday, there's a DJ, karaoke and, on Saturday, there's live music. On Tuesday, it's ladies' darts or indoor bowling and, on Thursday, the regulars organise their own card games. Four screens, two Sky boxes and a pool table keep the entertainment coming for the rest of the time!
