Melissa Reilly, LAMS President said: “It’s great to partner with Lanark’s Oxfam ahead of Legally Blonde: The Musical! The store has such a prominent position at the top of the High Street, just a few metres Lanark Memorial Hall where our show is taking place. The window looked fantastic and with that much pink I’m sure lots of people in the town noticed it! Limited tickets remain for Legally Blonde so I’d advise anyone wishing to come along to get booked up soon.”
Amanda Sneddon, Oxfam Store Manager commented: “We’re delighted to partner with LAMS to help raise awareness of our local store and their upcoming production. We are currently recruiting for all kinds of roles with flexible hours to suit all demographics in Lanark and surrounding areas. We’re also recruiting an online sales team to help maintain our on line shop which launches on Monday 3rd April. Anyone interested can pop into the shop to speak with Amanda the store manager, or they can view our open roles on www.oxfam.org.uk/getinvolved/volunteer.”
The Clydesdale Inn have also developed a flashy pink ‘Bend and Snap’ themed cocktail to promote the show. At the other end of the town, Lanark Memorial Hall are showcasing large-scale signing in Legally Blonde’s signature pink.
The club also regularly supports local suppliers, sourcing their branded rehearsal gear from ALJ, printing from Lanark Print Co. and hosting club events at Thistle Bowling Club and Lanark Golf Club.
Coming to Lanark Memorial Hall this month, LEGALLY BLONDE: The Musical is based on the popular movie. It follows the transformation of Elle Woods a sorority girl who enrols at Harvard Law to win back her former boyfriend. Along the way she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Throughout the show, very few characters have faith in Elle, but she manages to surprise them when she defies expectations while staying true to herself.
Guide Dogs Scotland will have charity bucket collections at all four performances, a QR code for digital donations will also be available in the show programme.
The production takes place in Lanark Memorial Hall from 23 - 25 March 2023. Tickets for are on sale now, priced from £12.50. Purchase tickets at www.sllcboxoffice.co.uk by calling 01555 673 199 or visiting the Lanark Memorial Hall Box Office.
